We are recruiting 370 participants across 5 stakeholder groups throughout Malaysia to evaluate home telerehabilitation.

Target: 100 Participants

Elderly Post-Stroke Individuals

Aged 60 and above with a medical stroke diagnosis within the past 24 months. Access AI-guided motor exercises from the comfort of home with no wearable sensors required.

Criteria: Age ≥60 · Medically stable · Able to communicate in BM, EN, ZH, or TA

Family members or informal/formal carers providing at least 10 hours of care per week for stroke patients. Help us measure caregiver burden and usability.

Enterprise HL7 FHIR R4 & EHR Export

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Is there any fee or payment required to participate?
No. Participation in the DTAM-MY research programme is 100% free of charge for all participants, caregivers, and therapists. The system and study materials are funded under university and research grants.
Q: What devices do I need at home?
You only need a laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a standard web camera and an internet connection. No sensors, wires, or special hardware need to be attached to the patient.
Q: How is my personal medical data protected?
All procedures strictly comply with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709) and ICH GCP standards. Motion tracking occurs ephemerally on your local screen and no camera footage is saved or uploaded to the cloud.
Q: Can I withdraw from the study if I change my mind?
Yes, absolutely. Participation is completely voluntary. You or your family may choose to withdraw at any time without giving any reason, and this will have zero effect on your regular healthcare services.

Telerehabilitation Exercises Evaluated

Computer vision algorithms measure 21 hand landmarks and 33 body keypoints across upper and lower limb functional tasks.

Module H: Upper-Limb Distal Dexterity & AROM

21 Hand Landmarks · Fugl-Meyer FMA-UE

Evaluates shoulder abduction, elbow flexion/extension, and wrist pronation/supination aligned with Fugl-Meyer (FMA-UE) standards.

33 Pose Landmarks · Schenkman 4-Phase

Analyzes Schenkman 4-phase Sit-to-Stand transitions, trunk inclination velocity, and bilateral lower-limb extension asymmetry.
